About me

Fausto Ignatov Vinueza, 2021

My name is Fausto Ignatov Vinueza (Quito, 1993), and I’m a social scientist based in Munich. I studied Political Science, Sociology, and Gender Studies at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU Munich), earning two master’s degrees in 2017. I’m currently a member of the Doctoral Program “Environment and Society” offered by the Rachel Carson Center for Environment and Society at LMU. My doctoral research project explores the construction and reproduction of discourses on development and progress in “internalizing societies” directly related to extractivist policies and practices, as well as how narratives and discourses relate to the materiality of objects.
